A wooden clothes hanger with the names of several hotels printed on it, all of which seem to have long since closed.
The hotels named are -
Hotel Dixie, New York. 1930 - 1976, then renamed Hotel Carter
Hotel Essex, Boston. 1906(?) - 1980's(?)
Hotel Governor Clinton, NYC. 1929 - 1967, the renamed Penn Garden Hotel
Hotel Garde, New Haven. 1894 - 19?? (Apparently still open in the 1950's)
Hotel Avery, Boston. 19?? - 1980s(?) Printing of this name on the hanger is not clear.
Hotel George Washington, NYC.  1928 - 1980s(?) Printing of this name is barely visible.
