Vintage Advertising Promotional Item
Metal container holding sewing thread
Measures 2.25" long with lid on
Top opens and thread holder slides out. There area few pieces of thread remaining on the holder.
It is not dated and no maker's mark, however, the Hotel Elisberg was opened in Lakewood around 1921. This says on it the New Hotel Elisberg and looks to be from the 1920's era. I did online research and found this construction announcement before it was built about where the hotel would be located: Elisberg Hotel Construction Company, Lakewood, NJ - address facing Ninth Street, Madison Avenue and Tenth Street.
Condition as shown in photos. Metal has rub and scuff, age and use, some discoloration marks, most of thread missing but some small pieces of what looks like what and black remain. No needles but it doesn't look like this had any, not place for them. Pre-owned, used being sold "as is" as was found.
