This MABBCO® MARINE Remanufactured Long Block is for a standard rotation GM Chevrolet 5.0 305 motor, model years 1996-2010.  This long block is identifiable by its roller camshaft, #878 block casting number, eight-bolt intake cylinder heads, and is commonly known as a "vortec."
MABBCO® long blocks include NEW pistons, piston rings, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, timing set, freeze plugs, gasket set, oil pump, and lifters.
MABBCO® long blocks are Spin Tested on a computerized engine test stand for proper oil pressure and compression and come complete with the push rods and rocker arms installed and pre-set.

Factory GM vortec cylinder heads are known for developing cracks in valve seats, as well as, along the center head bolt.  These cracks are common and can develop under normal operating conditions.  The primary reason these cracks occur is because the thin-wall casting of the factory cylinder head has insufficient mass to allow proper heat transfer.
MABBCO is now pleased offer its customers a better cost-effective alternative.  MABBCO’s HEAVY DUTY cylinder head option offers customers the opportunity to upgrade to NEW cylinder head castings that have 8% more mass than the factory cylinder head.  MABBCO’s HEAVY DUTY cylinder heads are thicker in locations prone to developing cracks and have the added benefits of screw-in-studs and wider sealing surfaces for the intake manifold gasket.  This product is RECOMMENDED by MABBCO.  THIS OPTION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMER’S PURCHASING A LONG BLOCK.

Motors are shipped to a nearby freight terminal or to a commercial address where a lift gate is not required (i.e. the customer has a forklift or other means of unloading).  Shipping is within the contiguous US ONLY.  Shipping to a residential address is not available through eBay.  Motors are shipped F.O.B Tyler, Texas.  Buyer to pay freight costs.  Motors can also be picked up locally at the Tyler, Texas factory.  Buyer is liable for return shipping on any returns or warranty claims.
